The Temporary Sail Shade is a tensioned (not tensile) structure designed to provide shade using a mesh fabric during calm weather. The mesh allows rain water to fall through the canopy which prevents ponding in the fabric that could cause the structure to fail. So, if you are looking for shade rather than a waterproof shelter, and could take the canopy down during heavy winds and snow this is the structure for you. If you need a waterproof structure or a more permanent all weather solution please take a look at any of our other canopy styles especially the Tensile Sail Shade.
Please also refer to our comprehensive canopy buyer’s checklist to help you to specify the canopy that best suits your needs and make a fair comparison between different potential suppliers.
